We encourage ladies to wear a floor-
length evening gown, though a sophisticated cocktail dress or an elegant dressy separates ensemble would also be appropriate.
Younger female guests can opt for age-
appropriate formalwear, such as a knee-length or midi dress.
In observance of the solemnity of the
Cathedral Basilica, the couple respectfully requests ladies to avoid exposing low backs and deep necklines during the ceremony, ensuring that we maintain reverence for the sacred space. Given Cincinnati’s often chilly winters, ladies should also plan for warmth when traveling between venues.
Gentlemen have a choice
between a classic tuxedo or a formal suit.
While a tuxedo with a black bow
tie remains the most traditional option, a well-tailored suit paired with a crisp dress shirt and refined tie would be equally appropriate.
We encourage younger male
guests to wear dress shirts and/or suits with a tie for a polished, yet age-appropriate look.
